Zuid Hollands Loonpakkerijbedrijf (ZHL) founded at the address Hoofdstraat 9 in Valkenburg under the supervision of Mr J.A.P. Spiering.
1960
First ZHL building in Valkenburg.
1967
ZHL moves to Breda. J.F. Spiering starts a packing company in Breda as a subsidiary of the Zuid-Hollands Loonbedrijf company located in Valkenburg, which is led by him and his brothers. Thriving growth leads to the company seeking larger accommodation in Breda three times in succession.
1974
Ties between the Noord Brabantse Loonbedrijf subsidiary and the parent company in South Holland are severed, and it continues business as an independent enterprise. ZHL becomes NBL.
1989
NBL moves from the dairy plant in Ulvenhout to De Lange Bunder in Bavel, as a consequence of an expansion plan of the municipality of Ulvenhout.
1990
NBL becomes Kompak Nederland. The third generation of Spierings takes over the helm from J.F. Spiering. Jan Spiering Jr and his brother Mart Spiering form the new management.
2005
On 11 March 2005, Kompak Food Tilburg BV opens the brand-new Food branch in Tilburg. This signals the definitive split between food and non-food activities at the two different locations in Bavel and Tilburg. The new branch sparks ambitions at both national and international level.
2007
Continued growth requires a new strategic plan for the future of Kompak in the packaging industry.
2010
Kompak Bavel moves to Etten-Leur, which means that Kompak Home & Personal Care is a fact. The opening was celebrated with employees, family, friends and business relationships.
2016
This is the year that Kompak celebrates its 65th anniversary, with its motto of "the future lies in our history"! The rich past is reviewed, including many highlights and a major expansion of Kompak Food Tilburg and Kompak Home & Personal Care Etten-Leur.
2020
Kompak Food Tilburg becomes Amixo!
